Today I was playing with a monochromatic color theme with my arrangements for the house. I harvested some gold-colored pincushion proteas from my garden and I plucked some astromaria and cut some kumquats to go with the proteas. I like to use edible fruits in my arrangements which make the arrangement that much more luscious. With the gold color as the common denominator, different textures of golden proteas, astromarias and kumquats compliment one another. The antique gold container adds character to the arrangement.
