After my post about the stairway to the kitchen garden, I am taking you on my kitchen garden tour. My kitchen garden is situated on top of a hill. From there, you can see a view of the mountains, which makes gardening more enjoyable.

Pineapple mint and Japanese shiso leaves in tera cotta containers. The containers are used to bring interest to the garden.

Flowers are incorporated into the garden to attract bees

Of course, no Indian kitchen garden is complete without the addition of a curry leaf plant
Indian snake gourd plant is climbing
Bitter melon vine. Bitter melons are known to cure lots of diseases including diabetes and high blood pressure
Mexican lime tree in a container
Six different varieties of eggplants
My all-time favorite, sun gold tomatoes
Opo squash is growing more than four feet

Wow, wow, wow...I love your garden. Mine is not nearly so lush nor does it contain such variety. Oh well, it's better than nothing and I appreciate every little thing that comes out of it.

ReplyDeleteAmazing garden! I dream of it although I have little patience for weeding :) Please tell us how many hours it takes per week to maintain this. With my busy full time job, I plant only flowers in baskets and boxes for now.
