Christmas openhouse

This year my friend Cheri's house was featured on a Christmas home tour. Every part of the house was tastefully decorated to showcase the homeowner's taste and love for decorating. The whole house was totally inspirational and a feast for the eyes. Come on in and enjoy the tour!

Entrance: As you are ready to enter the house, the outdoor bench is all decked out for the Christmas with a plaid blanket, boots and coordinating pillows.

Dining room:  Cheri's inspiration for this table comes from Pinterest.

Even the laundry room has a touch of Christmas

Designing with poinsettias

I am sprucing up the house for the holidays.

Nothing says Christmas more than poinsettias.  I love white poinsettias. They are not actually white, but a lime green color which I love. My love for this color began with lime-light hydrangeas, which I cannot plant enough of in my garden.

Side table arrangement made with succulents, white poinsettia, green proteas, nandina berries and English ivy.

Here on the dining table, I used white poinsettias with other small potted plants to make my arrangement last throughout the holiday season.

At the entrance table, the arrangement was made with white poinsettias, English ivy and small flowering kalanchoes plants. Mr. Ducky is all dressed up to greet holiday visitors.

The front porch urn is arranged with poinsettias, succulents and kalanchoes.

Here on the side table, a single poinsettia is placed in a decorative container along with Santa.

Pink Christmas Table

Instead of using traditional Christmas colors, I decided to go with pink for my table this year.

Centerpiece is made of a pewter bowl filled with California pepper berry foliage and Christmas ornaments

A Christmas ornament at each place setting serves as a party favor.

Candlelight adds a warm glow to the table

Put a personal stamp on your decorating

I like when people put their personal stamp on decorating their Christmas trees. My friend Barbara did exactly that when she decorated her tabletop Christmas tree. She loves to sew and make lace. Her tabletop Christmas tree reflects her love for sewing. I fell in love with this little tree. I thought I would share it with you all.
