While growing up in Southern India, our meals, like the weather, were always hot. We always end our meal with yogurt and rice. Most of the time we ate bananas mixed in with yogurt and rice. In summer, when mangoes are in season, our favorite way to eat mangoes is combining them with yogurt rice. That is the inspiration for developing this recipe using the sour cream. This recipe brings back my childhood memory of taste in a more sophisticated manner.
