Alfresco Dining with April Cornell

Last week, I received a package from April Cornell with a beautiful floral tablecloth and 4 napkins. Here is the tablescape I created using their linens. Thank you, April Cornell. Your linens are beautiful.

My motto of creating a tablescape is if there is a lot of pattern on the tablecloth, keep the china simple and vice-versa. Here, I don't want to take the attention away from the pattern. I used very simple Denby plates to accentuate the pattern on the tablecloth.

My pink and purple fuschia plant compliments the tablescape.

I always like to use birds wherever possible.

Since the tablecloth is filled with flowers, there is no need to make a centerpiece with flowers. Instead, I used simple maidenhair fern to contrast the background.

The birdcage is filled with candles that need to be lit as the sunlight fades.
