If  you want to treat dad on Father's day with flavorful burgers, here is the recipe for you. Serving these mini-burgers will definitely put you in the limelight for a lifetime. No one can eat just one of these gems.

Yields: 8

1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup plain bread crumbs
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 -3 teaspoons minced fresh green chilies such as jalapeños or serrano
¼ cup chopped red onion

1 teaspoon Trader Joe’s curry powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon canola oil
1 teaspoon lime juice

2 tablespoons sour cream
7 ounces Trader Joe’s mini hamburger buns
2 small tomatoes, sliced
4 ounces salad greens

Preheat grill to medium high. Alternately, you can cook these burgers on a grill pan.

In a medium bowl combine turkey, bread crumbs, ginger, garlic, green chilies, onion, cilantro, salt, curry powder, egg, oil and lime juice. Divide mixture into 8 portions. Using your wet fingers, make each portion into 2 inch burgers.

Place burgers on the grill and cook until just done, about 3 minutes per side.

Mix cilantro chutney with sour cream. Meanwhile toast hamburgers buns. Spread 2 teaspoons of chutney mixture onto cut sides of the of buns. Build these burgers by placing the salad greens on top of the bottom half of the bun, followed by the cooked turkey patties, cilantro chutney and tomato slices. cover with the other half of the bun and serve. Serve extra chutney on the side.
