This is the continuation of my previous post about the pre-engagement party. The next day was the main engagement party for the newly engaged couple given by the bride's parents.
Nothing is more classy and elegant than white. It was a simply gorgeous event at the St. Monarch's Resort in Dana Point, CA.
I like any event that is well executed from start to finish. Before we talk about the party, we need to talk about the invitation. The invitation was arrived in a small box. When you open the box, the invitation was encased in a piece of white burlap. When you open the burlap, there was a simple but elegant invitation inside. To finish it off, it was tied with a white gardenia flower. I love the simplicity and elegance of this invitation. The same white and green theme was carried throughout the event.
Appetizers were served outdoors at this location. The view was to die for!
After the cocktail hour, heading towards the site
Place cards were hung from the long, green arrangement
When we entered the hall, it was a sight to behold. Incorporating green brought an organic touch to the event.
We all know great design is in the details. At this table, a touch of matte gold added regality and warmth to the table. Beautiful matte gold and a touch of green paired with different shades of white was very glamorous with out overdoing it. This table transported guests to a magical place. Wow!
The table was regal and natural at the same time. I just love it!
Detail: Votive candle holders and their slightly imperfect shape added a vintage touch and texture to the table that plain glass or gold can't reproduce. It was the right touch at the right place.
Detail: Notice the table numbers card carried the same theme as the invitation
Detail: Matte gold on the seat cushions match the edge of the napkin
Same green carried to the ceiling
Love that green with sparkles of crystal
Detail: The same gardenia and greenery theme from the invitation was carried to the napkin

Absolutely charming, and such a welcoming, serene setting for such an important evening. Green, white and gold always set a tone of import and quiet elegance, and every appointment was chosen with an expert eye.

I love white too. This event set up is just gorgeous. Very elegant, and a lovely balance between tradition with a modern approach. I love the chandelier treatment - just fabulous. The florals are stunning and all the gilded touches offsetting the white are wonderful.
