Amazing wedding venue

Recently, I attended a wedding of a very dear friend's son, outside Austin, Texas at Camp Lucy Sacred Oaks. This was my first time in Texas.  As a nature lover, I enjoyed the picturesque countryside  from downtown Austin to Camp Lucy.  What a ride it was!
When we reached the venue, I was in awe of the rustic setting and those majestic oaks. It was a serene, breathtakingly beautiful setting in nature. It was a gorgeous site indeed. Here are some photos I wanted to share with you all.

Nick and Natasha's wedding

After last week's beautiful Sangeet, last Saturday was Nick and Natasha's wedding. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

In addition to appetizers and drinks that were circulating, there was a station that served bite-sized fruit, tidbits and nuts for guests to enjoy.

As opposed to traditional flowers, the centerpieces were done with a woodland theme. Dainty ferns and lots of wild flowers were arranged with plenty of moss around. Each and every centerpiece was unique and insanely beautiful.

Place cards were designed by the artistic bride and drawn by the very talented groom. I love every single one of them.

The event site was nestled between the Pacific ocean and the Santa Barbara mountains.  
When I reached the table, the menu card was on top of each setting. Underneath that there was a napkin. When you remove the napkin, you see a maiden heir fern on top of a very contemporary white plate. I love little touches like that and attention to detail.  Very elegantly done.

 Here is one example of the arrangement: Unique foliage and dainty white floral sprays, all accented with one lady slipper orchid. Wow! Just beautiful! Candles all along the table lit up the space as the sun fades

The entire evening felt magical

Indian wedding : The reception

After the mehindi and the wedding, the reception is the finale to Sunitha's and Sridhar's wedding celebration. Love the elegant color theme at the reception.

At each place setting, there is a thank you note from the bride and groom. Nice touch!

Here is the surprise guest, the singer John Legend performing at the reception. As expected he was phenomenal!

The Wedding

This post is the continuation of Sunitha and Sridhar's wedding. After the mehindi party, next was the big day, the wedding. Like many Indian weddings, this wedding started off with a prayer to Lord Ganesha. Hindus pray to Lord Ganesha to remove all obstacles in life.
