Yes, at last the book is out after 4 years of labor of love. It was lot of hard work writing, editing, cooking, washing, cleaning, and shooting photos. I am the author, editor, stylist and cleaning lady. Other than the photography, I did everything for the making of this book (since I self-published the book, I have to keep the cost in mind to hire people to work). I enjoyed every minute and every second of creating the book even though it was lot of hard work. The book turned out better than expected. That was my “aha” moment. Now the fun of marketing begins.
When I finished this project, I thought I had the best cookbook in the world. I also thought that in no time, my cookbook would be flying off every bookstore shelf! I was the first one to admit that I was wrong. I realized that you can have the best product in your hands, but without a proper marketing plan, the book can fail in no time. That is why I am blogging and twittering, and on facebook, digg, epicurius and linked in.
Now my book is distributed by a wholesale distributor, Baker and Taylor. That means the book will be available through all retail shops.
I hope that you will continue to read my blog for more updates on my book and various events. You can visit my website, komalinunna.com, for more information about the book.
