Outdoor tablescape

This tablescape is adapted from my book, Entertaining From an Ethnic Indian Kitchen. The table was set in front of my dahlia patch. The uruli and fabrics are from Kerala, a Southern state in India. The menu featured in this chapter includes very authentic dishes from that particular region.

Instead of charger plates, I used leaves from my garden as chargers.

As the sunlight fades, light the candles.

  4. Hi,
because the time difference I come little bit late to visit you.
That looks so nice. I love the using of nature floral elements for a outdoor dinner. What a creativity to use leaves as chargers. And I adore your centerpiece filled with fresh flowers and flower candles.
    Greetings, Johanna

  6. What a fabulous centerpiece! I love zinnias, and adding those floating flower candles was an inspired idea! And the outdoor setting is just gorgeous -- I'm waiting for the live oaks to finish dropping their "fuzzies" so I can clean off the patio furniture and enjoy outdoor dining again.
