My all-time favorite summer flowers, hydrangeas have thrived in my Southern California garden. Time to time I think of turning my garden into hydrangea farm.Whenever I see a new variety, I have to bring the plants home and find a place to plant them. They are very easy to grow. I fertilize them once in spring and in summer. That is all there to it. I think you have to find a perfect place to plant them. Limelights take little sun, whereas all others do very well in the morning sun and afternoon shade.
My favorite limelights right in front of the kitchen
I grew these limelights from the cuttings. They are doing very well.
I should have added more soil acidifier to this plant to keep the blue color. Next year..
Pink hydrangea with almost black stems
This plant provides continuous supply of flowers from spring to fall
Endless summer. I have many planted around the property, since it is another prolific bloomer.

ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas, too, but don't have those limelights. I'll be looking for them though. Your photos are stunning!!! Thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteYour hydrangeas are just beautiful. I have a few plants that look okay, but not beautiful. Now that I am retired I have more time for my garden and hope that they can become as lovely as yours.
