Getting the garden and patio ready for entertaining

I know it happens to all of us; you believe the neighbors who you become close to will stay in the neighborhood for as long as you live in your house. Well, we all know that is not true. Some of them move away from the neighborhood due to various reasons. One of my neighbors who we have been friends with for the past 10 - 12 years are moving to the next town. I invited some of my neighbors and friends for garden party to spend time and say goodbye.

My first task for the garden party began with cleaning and the sprucing up the garden and patio.

My favorite maiden fern in a swan container

All my garden tools tucked away in the corner

Just one succulent in an elephant container

It looks like we have an elephant theme going on here, doesn't it?

The garden was weeded and ready for the party

White roses.  To the right is our apple tree, full of fruit.

My favorite fire-cracker fuchsia

Stay tuned for the next post about  photos from the actual party.

  1. How beautiful! I love the details, the flowers, the sheep (I have the same ones :-)), and dappled light. Such a welcoming, gorgeous place for friends to gather, and a place to sit and drink tea and celebrate life.

    1. Maiden fern does better in indirect light. In hot Sun it burns.
